International People's Project- Ages 18 and up
International People’s Project (IPP) is a chance for adult members to experience the CISV difference! Here’s your chance to work on a specific humanitarian project with other adults from around the world.

Each IPP project is designed with adult schedules in mind. Most are about two weeks; the length of most vacations from work. They are usually held during the summer months or around the winter holidays.

The three main components of IPP are Education, Service and Fun. Each project is a collaboration between a CISV hosting chapter and a like minded organization (LMO) in that community. A bond between the two is established, and a project is designed around the mission of the LMO that can be enhanced or accomplished by the hard working, enthusiastic CISV delegates.

Each project usually consists of 3 delegates from each of 8 nations, plus staff. Unlike the other programs, IPP is a National level activity, rather than assigned to only one chapter for traveling. The number of invitations the USA receives varies from year to year based on several factors, and how many IPPs are available worldwide.Upcoming projects for 2006

Applications for delegates are taken from all over the USA, and each delegation may have participants from the far corners of the country. After selection, delegates are trained. Delegates are responsible for their own transportation arrangements. They are required to pay for International Membership and CISV insurance. If the project involves children, all delegates must present a clean criminal background check, according to CISV policy.

Applications and two references are to be sent to the USA National IPP Chair (NIPPC) by December 31.
Prospective applicants should contact the NIPPC before applying in order to obtain a copy of the project proposal for which they are interested, and to make sure that they match the participant profile for that particular project.

For further information about 2006 IPP, refer to CISV's international website listing of IPP's. National IPPChairs are also listed at that site..
